2012 Women in Business Brunch

The Deakin Commerce Society is proud to present the 2012 Women in Business Brunch

The Women in Business Brunch for all Deakin students will be held on Friday the 4th of May at 10:00am to 12:00pm in HE1.010.

The Women in Business Breakfast will provide students of all Commerce backgrounds with the ability to meet, and hear from professional business women on their career highlights and stories of success.

Presentations will be made speakers from differing business backgrounds, on their life experiences in business, and how they overcame the challenges facing women in business.

The speakers will be Laura Carbone from Tax and Legal at PwC, Trudi Cowan a Manager from Tax Services at Deloitte, Julia Langdon a Partner from Advisory at Ernst & Young and Maria Digregorio who is a Group Financial Controller at Telstra!

The Women in Business Brunch will also provide students with the ability to talk and mingle with the presenting business women, whilst enjoying delicious free food.

The Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing (GradCertIA) is a postgraduate professional education program for those seeking a career in internal audit, governance and risk. It is an academically rigorous postgraduate education program fully accredited by the higher education regulatory body in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework. Upon completion of the program you will have achieved an internal auditing qualification of the highest standard and be eligible to apply for professional membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors – Australia.

Semester 2 of the IIA – Australia, GradCertIA is fast approaching and we are currently accepting applications. We encourage you to submit your application early so it can be processed prior to enrolment opening on June 11.

Semester 1 is currently underway and being enthusiastically embraced by candidates.
