Rebecca Dowling

 

In 2013 I will be in my third and final year at Deakin, studying Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics, International T

rade and Marketing. Last year I was fortunate to receive the position as Secretary, and have now progressed into the role of President for 2013. Outside of University I hold two casual jobs at Green Acres Golf Club and the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and dance twice a week. After university, I hope to backpack around Europe, before pursing my dream of becoming a marketing analyst.

Marc Romanin

In 2012 I will be entering the third year of my double degree in Commerce/Property and Real Estate. In 2013, I was also successful in being voted on by my peers as Vice-President of the Deakin Commerce Society. In the future I plan to major in management and eventually seek a career in commercial property development. In conjunction with my full time studies I am currently working at Sugar Station, Stone Shoes, Ticketek and the Crown Casino. Whilst life can get pretty crazy, I love to travel, go to the gym, and hang out with friends.

In 2012 I will be in my 3rd year studying Commerce at Deakin University. I am majoring in Accounting and Finance. I am currently employed at Cherry Hill Tavern as a Gaming Graveyard Supervisor working all hours of theearlymorning. My hobbies include soccer, indoor soccer, gym, and most of all snowboarding. After university I will be commencing graduate employment at Deloitte.

I am currently studying a Bio-Med degree at Deakin University and in 2013 I will be in my third year of study. After attending Deakin Commerce Society events, I came to realise that the society could create so many opportunities for me during my time at Deakin and also later in my career. Through this understanding, I have come to the role of Secretary, which I very much enjoy.

Outside of university, I hold four jobs working at Life Saving Victoria, De La Salle Old Collegians Football Club, Methodist Ladies’ College and tutoring Primary and Further maths. I’m a summer kid, I love the beach which is where I spend most of my summer surf life saving, surfing and enjoying life. I would like to do a semester overseas with Deakin’s Study Abroad program, hopefully studying in Spain or somewhere in Europe and after studying I’d like to go into physiotherapy and hopefully start up my own practice.

My hobbies include rugby, AFL, listening to music and socialising with mates. After university I aim to travel around the world before moving into a career in the finance field.ip.

Mark Tandiono

Hello everyone, I’m Mark Tandiono. I’m currently in my second year at Deakin studying a double degree encompassing a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts. By the end of my studies, I am hoping to earn both a major in accounting and a major in international relations yet also attain a graduate position at one of the ‘Top 4’ accounting firms. As of now, I am a liquor assistant at Woolworths liquor in Toorak. Tennis and gym are also a large part of my life, frequenting the gym or courts whenever possible. Also getting together with mates always been a long-time favourite.

In 2013 I will be in my second year studying a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law, at Deakin University.

In 2012 I was fortunate to receive the position as First Year Representative, and will move on this year as a Director of

Accounting. I am currently employed as a receptionist for Buxton Real Estate Group as well as a retail sales assistant at Lovisa. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, travelling and socialising with friends.

2013 will be the final year of my Commerce studies. I have majored in Accounting and Commercial Law and I hope to a

ttain a graduate position to commence in 2014 in audit or tax at a big-four or a mid-tier accounting firm. I will then go on and complete my CA. Outside of university I enjoy playing and umpiring netball, as well as keeping fit by running and participating in boot camp. I have casual employment waitressing at a restaurant in Camberwell as well as umpiring netball at Deakin.

In 2013 I will be studying my third year of a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Business Information Systems and Accounting Information Systems. I have been on the DCS committee for two years now, and last year suggested the implementation of an IS/IT division, with the approval of this division given, and being given the role of inaugural VP, I look forward to the new and exciting challenges which face our society in 2013.

2013 is my third of year at Deakin, working towards completing my Bachelor of Commerce.
As part of my studies I

am undertaking economics & finance majors, leading to me applying for the role of Director of Economics & Finance, a role I will be filling as a part of the 2013 committee.

I am currently employed by Deakin, as well as being part of a think-tank in my spare time. My hobbies include socialising with mates, staying active and going to the footy. My longer term goals include completing further study, overseas travel and establishing a career within the banking & finance industry.

and Shopping center. My hobbies include catching up with mates, basketball, cricket, and snowboarding. After university I plan to travel around the world before a start my career.

2013 will hopefully see me complete my Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) with a major in Marketing. My interests outside of uni include music and sports, particularly mountain biking and cycling. I am a race mechanic for two national level cycling teams and have managed two other top tier teams over the past few years. I am on the Mountain Biking Australia management committee and when I finish uni I hope to travel around the world before finding myself back in Melbourne for work opportunities

2013 will be my third and final year at Deakin studying Commerce. I am majoring in Marketing, Management and Human Resources and plan to finish my degree and travel for a bit before finding a full time job. I am currently employed in an admin/receptionist position that schedules well with my university classes. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and getting outside for fresh air and exercise.

In 2013 I will be in my third year of university, studying Arts/Commerce at Deakin University. I am planning on majoring in Commercial Law and Politics. My current employment is Woolworths, which I have been with for the past four years. My hobbies include photography, music, going out with friends and family, and playing netball. My future prospects include transferring into Commerce/Law and completing both my Commerce and Law degrees, and hopefully starting a career in the Law industry. Travelling is also a future plan that I hope to achieve. I was elected onto the DCS Committee at the AGM at the end of the year. I initially went for first year representative but was unsuccessful, so at the end of the year when an opportunity arose I took it.

This year will be my second year at university where I will be starting a Bachelor of Commerce and Law, after transferr

ing from a Commerce degree last year. In 2012 I was lucky to be chosen as a First Year Representative and have now proceeded to events. In addition, to university I am currently working as a Swimming Teacher and at Cotton On. I also love playing soccer, socialising, music and travelling. After my degree I hope to travel as much as possible and secure a job in the legal field.

Alongside my full time studies I am currently employed at a Winery on the Mornington Peninsula called Port Phillip Estate. In my spare time I love to go to the gym, run, socialize, snow ski, and read. After university I plan to travel before I start my career in the Marketing management field.

In 2013 I will be undergoing my second year at Deakin University studying Arts/Commerce. This year I am the Vice President of Publications for the Deakin Commerce Society. During my spare time, I love playing netball and tennis, and also hold a position at Delaware North Catering Company. After graduating, I would love to travel the world before starting full time work.

My name is Penelope Laletas and I am studying Commerce/Law at Deakin, completing my second year in 2013. This year I will be holding the position of Director of Publications on the DCS committee. Currently, I have two jobs. One is working in retail at Elwood clothing in Chadstone and the second is at an events management company called Uplift Events where we run fun and unique team building events, such as The Melbourne Great Amazing Race. In my spare time I love to catch up with friends, go shopping and go to the gym.

In 2013 I will be in my third year studying Commerce/Law at Deakin University. I am majoring in Accounting. I am a director of the publications department for the Deakin Commerce society. I am currently employed a Safeway Deli. After i finish my degree, I plan on being a High Court Justice. Whilst life can get pretty crazy, I love to travel, go to the gym, and hanging out with friends.
